    "We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much.The staff were very effcient and the continental breakfast was better than most.The lack of car parking facilities is a bit of a draw back and the directions to the nearest carpark could have been more helpful." (97125264)

    Spacious Room. Hotel central to the city Centre. Friendly Staff.

    Whilst the room contained a bath, a shower in addition would have been helpful.

    "The Hotel Royal in Montpellier, France is a charming little hotel. The little part makes it special because you feel like an acquaintance and not a stranger; the front desk staff, particularly two young women, were very friendly as well as helpful, understanding and patient with guests not fluent in French. This added to our ease and enjoyment; breakfast was plentiful and delicious. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return." (3305280617)

    Up to date room n a fine old building. Convenient for station and shops.

    "The location was close to the train station, a TRAM stop was almost directly in front of the hotel, the center city was only 2 blocks away, the accomodations were the best we have ever had in Europe. We would definitely stay at this hotel again - a real bargain for the price and a gem of a place." (3304917948)

    The location was great, the room was large and nicely decorated, large bathroom, air-conditioning worked well, hotel staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and in giving directions.

    "The location of the hotel is fantastic for everything. We hired a car to get from the airport, which we would not do next time. We would get a train to the main station then catch a tram or walk up the street. We didn't realise that the trams went straight passed the hotel and that the street was pedestianised! It was such a treat to step out the door of the hotel and not have traffic noise/conjestion. The trams are not noisy and add to the atmosphere, aswell as simple to use and so convenient."     The location was superb and the building was traditional. Loved the view of the old courtyard at the back. Very clean good sized bathroom and good size shower with a proper door (no horrid shower curtains:) We did have a problem ( the bedroom was not made up by 4 in the afternoon) however, once mentioned, we liked that it was resolved immediately and without fuss. (The receptionist seemed genuinely sorry and we got the feeling it didn't happen frequently)

    An extractor fan in the bathroom would be good as the stream went through to the bedroom, and as we stayed in the winter time, it made the bedroom feel a little musty. To freshen it we ended up opening the bedroom windows which probably wasted a lot of heat.

    The hotel was under full renovation. Most of the commom facilities looked like a construction site. In such a situation I would have expected not to pay full price.

    Une chambre spacieuse à proximité de la gare (500 m).

    Chambre donnant sur la rue où passe le tramway donc bruyante. Sèche-cheveux d'un autre àge. Décor vieillot. Baignoire sans rideau.

    "C'est un hôtel qui sort du cadre des hôtels de chaîne, où on ne sait pas où on est, au réveil... c'est agréable, le lit est grand (rare!) et confortable. Selon le type de séjour un choix de lumière plus intime et tamisée serait agréable... La décoration fleure bon les années 70, un coup de jeune serait bienvenu! Un choix de PdJ avant 7h00 serait un plus, pour les lève-tôt qui prennent le train et ont faim! surtout les amoureux..." (3305016228)

    lumière plus tamisée, baignoire avec robinets sur le côté pour bain à deux... décoration un peu vieillotte. pdj trop tard (7h).

Excellente isolation acoustique, ce qui est nécessaire vu la position très centrale de l'hôtel dans Montpellier (à cinquante mètres de la place de la comédie dans une rue ou passe le tram)."
